Adult Faith Formation

FIRE-UP your FAITH and FELLOWSHIP

Ed Anderson’s presentation of ”The Mass” on March 4 th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. was attended by approximately 36 parishioners. This monthly Wednesday night series was requested by parents during our fall survey. Parents wanted to deepen their adult Catholic faith while their children were at Faith Formation. 


Comments from participants at this event included: ““I learned about how beautiful and deeply symbolic the Mass is”; I learned there is a Saint relic in every altar”.

 

The Fire-up your Faith & Fellowship Events are sponsored through the FIRE-UP Grant ---received by the St.John’s Adult Faith Formation Committee. 

Upcoming events include:

  • March 31 @ 5:30 p.m. mass, 6 eat, 6:30-7:30 p.m. presentation). Miles of Faith-Cycling Across America (speakers: Maria & Pat Steele).
  • April 8 th @ 5:30 p.m. meal, 6-7:30 pm presentation for catechists and those considering this ministry. Tom Quinlan from DM Diocese.
  • April 23 rd 11:30 am meal, followed by 12-1 pm Sharing Faith Visit to Holy Land(speaker: Lynn Bose)
  • May 2nd 9 am mass, 9:30-10 am meal, 10-11 a.m. Marian Apparitions. (speaker: Joshua Burks from Lincoln, NE).
  • May 13 th @ 5 pm meal; 5:30-6:30 pm Presentation) Mary and the Saints (presenter: Ed Anderson)
