Father Remi Okere was ordained a Catholic Priest in 1994. He studied theology at the Spiritan International School of Theology in Enugu, Nigeria, Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. Fr. Remi began his assignment at St. John’s in July of 2015. He served as Pastor of Assumption Church from July 2009 to July 2015. Prior to serving at Assumption, Father was the Associate Pastor at Sacred Heart in West Des Moines, and St. Joseph’s Parish in Des Moines.
