We Have a New Smartphone App

We are excited to announce that we have a new smartphone app! If you have our old app, please delete it and download our new app. The app does not have our parish logo on it – it has a white church with a blue background. It is called WeConnect Parish App.

If you're comfortable searching for it in the app store, simply tap on App Store if you have an iPhone or Google Play if you have Android. Type in WeConnect Parish App and look for the logo below. Then click Get or Install. If your phone requires you to enter a password to download it and you don't know your password, continue reading. If you have successfully downloaded the app, skip to Step 7 below.

Otherwise, if you don't feel comfortable searching for it, follow the instructions below. Note: If it asks you for your password in order to download the app, and you do not know your password, we cannot help you because we have no idea what your password is. Please call Apple if you have an iPhone and Google if you have Android and they may be able to assist you.

  1. Tap on your phone’s text messaging app
  2. Start a new text message
  3. Type in 555888 for the recipient
  4. In the text message body, type ParishApp1 if you have an iPhone, or ParishApp2 if you have Android
  5. Tap the send button
  6. You will receive a reply that contains a link. Click on this link and install the app
  7. When you launch the app, it will ask for your location. Click Deny(If it would be more helpful for you to have visual instructions, click here for Apple and here for Android.)
  8. Type “st johns adel” into the search field and St. John’s will pop up. Click on this pop up
  9. Set St. John’s as your default parish (it will say “Are you ready to set St. John’s Catholic Church as your home parish?”)
